Apply now for Digital Main Street Digital Transformation grants! Applications open on Monday, January 16, 2023 and eligible brick-and-mortar small businesses can apply for a $2,500 grant by creating an account and completing the digital assessment and online training. When the portal re-opens (around 10 a.m. on January 16) applications will be accepted until September 30th, 2023 or until the grant funds are exhausted.
Digital Main Street provides funding for training and advisory support through digital service squads as well as $2,500 grants to brick-and-mortar small businesses looking increase capacity through digital transformations. Last year, 54 St. Catharines businesses received $135,000 Digital Transformation Grant funding. Over the past four years, Digital Main Street distributed more than $450,000 to St. Catharines businesses.
The City of St. Catharines will continue supporting local businesses with digital transformations through the Digital Main Street program. The City was successful in securing provincial funding to extend the digital service squad program to the end of 2023 and will continue to offer free one-on-one assistance to small businesses.
